Dinovember day 9: Yi qi

Yi, a genus of scansoriopterygid dinosaur, has the shortest generic name of any dinosaur, containing only two letters. The specific name, Yi qi, is the shortest possible under the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, with four letters. This distinction is shared with Ia io, a species of bat.

So here’s who I needed Nightfury for! My bat mesmer is here and all decked out!

Some Asura! Left is my Ia Io (aka my excuse to be a total nerd and shove all the bat things on one character.) He is named after the Great Evening Bat and his design is based on the Pied Butterfly Bat

On the right is @the-arcing-slice‘s Pipistrellus Kuhlii! Shavos made him to be friends with Ia, which gets me right in the feels ;u; He is named after Kuhl’s Pipistrelle and his design is based on the Honduran Tent Bat.
