Merlin asks Arthur to treat him like he would treat one of his lovers. Arthur reluctantly agrees, afraid that as he wines and dines his flatmate they might accidentally uncover the truth - that Arthur is in love with Merlin, and has been for a very long time.

On Tuesday I went to an amazing concert with my bff, before that we met my grandparents for lunch, and the concert was absolutely wonderful and the sunset we could see from outside the concert hall was so lovely and it was such a perfect day that it didnt even bother me that my train home was delayed and i had to walk home bc no busses were running anymore <3

the last fic i posted is actually the very first time i've ever intentionally kept a record of something that didn't make it into the finished fic akljdfgh, so good timing for this question 😂 It was remarkable how much a true smile changed Ronan. All his sharp edges softened and a special alchemy transformed the jagged cut of his mouth into something warm and welcoming. For a moment he resembled nothing more than the unfailingly sweet child he had once been, before the world had taken its chisel to him. The glimpse of that boy was hastily papered over with studied nonchalance, but he made no effort to disguise how tightly he held onto Declan's hand.

27. your favorite part of the writing process

hmmm. my writing process is pretty simple in that i start at the beginning and i write through to the end and i edit as i go rather than, like, make drafts or have a phase of doing significant revisions. it's mostly just Writing The Thing and Doing A Last Pass For Typos, and sometimes Outlining beforehand but not always. unless i count the pre-writing spitballing-with-friends 😂 cuz that part is pretty fun ngl and is a lot less pressure lol. kind of a spectrum between spitballing and outlining but that's a fun space to play in, figuring out what the story is and how it works before i have to commit to putting words in the right order officially. yeah, sure, let's go with that!!

23: what's the coolest place you've visited? hmmm Iceland was pretty cool, all in all. idk if "living there for 10 months" counts as visiting but yeah.

8. How slow is a slow burn? A very good question lol. for reading, 20k upwards. for writing uhhhhhh 5k? I dont really like writing slow burn lmao [and i dont read it often either]

23. Dialogue or description? Why is the other one so hard? Hmm i wouldn't necessarily say that I am better at one of them. Both can flow easily, and both can be a pain in the ass. My problem with dialogue sometimes can be that I feel like I let people talk themselves into dead ends, in a way, so they end up in places where I didn't want the talk to go and I have to delete some of what I wrote and write it again. With descriptions, well, i love writing descriptions when I can get the tone just right, and I hate it when I don't and can't really figure out why it doesn't hit the tone XD

36. How do you come up with fic titles? What's the one you're most proud of? well, fic titles are one pain in the ass :c I have no idea how I came up with most of mine. Sometimes I use quotes from songs/literature/... that I think fit the story or sometimes are taken from whatever inspired the story. But most of the time... idk XD I just come up with words and stick them together Fic title I'm most proud of: basically all the titles where I came up with a (more or less) original pun or some creative word play as a title XD for example "the knitcher II", "(K)nightly adventures" or "the joy of the nibelungs" [even though the last one technically wasn't my own creation, @rialtoir came up with it]
