Size: XL | Fabric: 100% Cotton | Made by / in: Gildan / Nicaragua Had Since: 7/3/2012 | Price: $15 | Times Worn: 0 I Am Drums, from what I can tell through their Twitter account, is a collection of people centered in San Fransisco that love all things drumming...just like me! I stumbled upon their community while looking for a shirt I wasn't sure existed - I wanted something simple that just said "I am drums," a whim inspired by the excellent film Adventures of Power. And look how well they were able to grant my wish! This shirt is awesome - it's a play on the often-seen Run-D.M.C. shirt, and is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. The guy who sold me the shirt was super-cool in the emails we exchanged, and he sent a pair of sticks my way as an apology for having to wait on more XL shirts to arrive. So a big Thanks! goes out to Jeff for the hookup, and I wish him and his followers all the best in their drumming endeavors!

I mentioned the movie Adventures of Power, which led me to this shirt - I don't know if the community took its name from the film or not. I certainly Hope so. If not, well hey - You need to watch this movie! That statement goes for everybody; if you liked Napoleon Dynamite (and you did), this film will give you a hearty laugh. If you're a Rush fan you'll Especially dig this film. It's fantastic, and I can't possibly say enough good things about it. Go forth and watch, kids! I wore this shirt this evening for a three hour Municipal Band rehearsal, and the other fellas seemed to dig it, though I was too tired to acknowledge that. Thanks! Tomorrow I have my penultimate day of work, followed by a two hour jazz gig I'm excited about. Wednesday I work my last day, then play a concert with the Muni Band...three days in a row this week = I really Am drums! Only two days of work left, then off to the Dells with the family to celebrate my return to under-employment!
