Yup I think it counts, even for those born in the usa you can put in the tags where are you parents or relatives from.

I'm auditioning for Seussical and going for Gertrude but I'd like to be considered for others... My song is very Gertrude but my monologue is a little more sass... Do you think that's ok or should I try a little more belt? (1/2)

(2/2 seussical ask) Also, is a little bit of character voice in the song OK or should I avoid that unless I get called back? Thank you so much!

I think that’s fine!  And yes, just make sure the song isn’t completely about the character voice.  Let it enhance the performance, not overtake it!

I'm auditioning for Belle/Silly Girls in early April and I'm having trouble with songs. I was considering Once Upon A Dream, Hushabye Mountain(CCBB), and I'll Know (Guys and Dolls). Are these good choices or am I missing the mark a little? Thank you!

I’m not sure these quite fit.  I’ll Know is too high, as is Once Upon a Dream (I’m assuming you’re talking about the Sleeping Beauty one, not the J+H one), and Hushabye Mountain is a male song.  You’re on the right track in style, but you’re going to want to find a true mezzo song to be sure!

hey! so, since it has been more than a year since i first got my haircut, i dont have any of the ref pics i took when i first wanted to get a pixie cut :( sorry!

i have an hair ref post here, but if you want, i sometimes post selfies (under the tag my face) you can take those and show to your hairstylist if you want?

I'm doing the first 2 verses of It won't be long now from in the heights for an audition and I was wondering if you have any ideas for acting the 2nd verse? In the show it's kinda dependent on the other actors in the scene so I'm not sure what to do.

The section on the boys catcalling her?  I’d probably give the song an “other” to be talking to.  That way, you can be emphatically talking to them about what you experience, rather than reacting to things happening on stage. You can make it more like a rant to a friend rather than a description of what’s going on, if that makes sense!

I haven't been cast in a show since last summer and I'm a little distraught... I have 2 audition opportunities coming up within the month and I'd like to make the most of them and go in with a really strong audition. Any tips or help on this? Thanks!

Try not to focus on the gigs that have not come through, because that’s past and doesn’t impact your current audition!  Try to put your focus into your work, your audition prep, and setting yourself up for a positive mental environment so that you can go in there and knock it out of the park!  Mostly, just try not to stress too much about the stakes.  A little pressure can be helpful, but crippling pressure can be debilitating.
