“Laura, goodness sake’s!” Sam gasped when he ran into her on a patrol. “Ya gotta get out of here now! I got NOVA agents just waitin’ for me to screw up. If they see ya, ya know what happens.” He was anxious and whispering wildly. He couldn’t have them catch her.

“Hi,” Evan says, holding out a coffee for Laura. “I figured maybe you could use some help here today.” He offers with a small smile. After the... incident, or whatever it was called, he figured that things would be very busy at the halfway house. “Everything okay? You okay?” Evan left the question slip before he could stop himself. Laura was capable of taking care of herself and then some but he would still worry, as a friend should, he thought.

She and Laura had been better about keeping in touch than she and Josh had, but Cessily was still excited to see her. It had been some time since they went their separate ways so to speak. “Woooow, check this place out,” Cess grins as she walks into the halfway house. She was proud of Laura and Josh — they had really put together something special in a time where young mutants had nothing else. They didn’t have the school — for better or for worse. They needed a safe space.

“Hey Laura, I’m going to hug you brace yourself,” She grins and wraps her arms around her friend in a hug. “I’ve missed you. I’m so glad you’re here because I’ve heard some shit about this town, let me tell you.” She exhales, sitting down on an empty bed. “Tell me about this place.”

Before Cess even said anything she just held out a bottle of blue gatorade. “Drink and don’t fuss,” She said to Laura and also pulled out a bag of beef jerky she had gotten from the gas station where she had stopped. “And eat. Protein, you need it.” How did she know? She just knew. “How did it go out there?”

Send In The Nelson || Laura & Foggy

Foggy had talked/threatened/bribed his way past three officers before he opened the door and poked his head into the interrogation room, smiling politely at Laura and giving the same look to the two detectives opposite her. “Hi,” he stepped inside and closed the door behind him, “I’m Foggy Nelson of Nelson & Murdock, I’ll be representing Ms Kinney from this point onwards.” he flicked his gaze back to the young lady, “Ms Kinney hello, lovely to see you, if you’d be so kind would please not speak to these two lovely detectives for a little bit? They won’t be in here for long.” he continued amicably while the Detectives looked on with frowns on their faces.

“No, as its stands I can see a rather nasty wound in my clients side there, looks like a gunshot? Lucky she’s so durable. But considering that despite what the call in says the arresting officer I spoke to is fine, not even a bruise around his strong’ol neck. Meanwhile a young girl who was shot by said officer is sitting in an interrogation room, bleeding and you’re doing... nothing?” He let the words hang in the air for a moment. Of course odds were she was fine but the bloodstain alone was an excuse he could capitalise on. “Well...” he blew his cheeks out, “I’m sure you know better than me how many lawsuits that’s opening you up for.” he even laughed, still cheery, “That’s enough for me to fleece you guys, this building and government and retire a happy man. But I don’t wanna get you guys in trouble so how bout you go get some medical attention for the lovely young lady and we’ll talk a little in the mean time.”

He closed his eyes and smiled affably at the pair before opening them and continuing, a slightly harder edge coming through, “I’m sorry, was I not clear? Get out for a good while before I get you fired, vilified in what’s left of the media and sue this building till you can’t even afford donuts anymore.” The smile was gone. Moments later the two detectives left without a word. Foggy sighed and turned to Laura, “Hey, I’m Foggy, and I wanna help you if you’ll let me, Laura?”

I think the most frustrating thing is when a white twink assumes I’m obviously craving their asses despite me preferring to bottom 🙄

First off, don’t string me into a category based on a few CASTED and ACTED OUT porno flicks that suggest we are all simply worth our dicks and nothing more.

Second off, admitting you’ve been ran through by a gang of black men doesn’t somehow create the “i too must get in that” idea. I don’t fucking care

Black men are treated as treats more than treasures and I’m over it. We are more than a rumored superiority in dick size, we are most than melanated trophy for someone to fuck here and there in order to prove they’re not “ racist” we deserve love, we deserve passion, we deserve respect.

Evan would recognize the back of that head anywhere. He suppressed the urge to run over and hug Laura because that was very un-Laura and he could risk a foot talon for the jugular and that would be a bummer. Instead, he strolled up beside her.

“Fancy seeing you here, stranger,” He lets loose a big ol’ grin. “What are you doing here, like, for real though? This place is bringing in way too many mutants, it’s making a blue boy feel less special.” Now that she had acknowledged his existence he did lean in and hug her, fully knowing he would likely not get one back -- that wasn’t the point. “I’m glad to see you’re okay! Or you look okay, are you doing okay?” Concern colored his voice now, but still he seemed happy to see a (somewhat) friendly face.
