I thought he was the host because he fronted the most and had a whole life (and WIFE) Steven didn't even know about and he only stopped fronting so often a few months before the events of Moon Knight, but would still come out pretty much every night.
hosts can change!
he was the host during that time, but steven obviously has a job now, marc had cut ties with layla, and marc planned on giving steven his life back, which implies to me that marc doesn't want to be the host.
(yes, there are other implications, but please don't bring those up to me. i'm choosing to overlook them.)
anyway, this is why i say alter roles are overhyped. maybe you want to call them co-hosts. maybe marc sees himself as host and steven disagrees. but my pov of this is that marc was the host, and then, for whatever reason, stepped down as host and steven took over. steven is the host now, but he wasn't always the host.
hopefully this makes sense.
