I got tagged by @books-are-portals to answer 11 bookish questions and to come up with 11 questions of my own. 

1. What is your favourite book from your least favourite genre?

Hard question, since I barely read anything from my least favourite genre. But I guess Size 12 Is Not Fat by Meg Cabot counts as crime fiction, so that’ll be my answer. 

2. What well-known book/series don’t you like?

House of night. I’m not that found of The maze runner either. 

3. Which book from your favourite author has the best cover design?

I have more than one favourite author, but I really like the cover of The tales of Beedle the Bard, by J.K. Rowling.

4. What is the longest book you’ve ever read?

Harry Potter and the order of the Phoneix. The Swedish translation is 1001 pages anyway. (The English copy I have is only 766 pages :P)

5. What is the shortest book you’ve ever read?

Not sure. If children’s books doesn’t count, it might be Martin Birck's Youth by Hjalmar Söderberg, or something. 

6. Whose (auto)biography would you like to read (any person, real or fictional)?

I don’t know! Maybe Luna Lovegood’s, because it’d probably be hilarious. 

7. You can have dinner with any 3 book characters. Who would you choose & why?

Ohh, hard to choose, but I guess I’d dine with Luna Lovegood, Ron Weasley and Cath Avery from Fangirl. (Though I don’t know if Ron would enjoy our company, lol)

8. How many unread books do you own?

32 if I count the ones in my bookcases and on my nightstand. I have a few more hidden away. 

9. What’s your favourite non-fiction book?

The magical worlds of Harry Potter, by David Colbert. 

10. Do you listen to audiobooks?

Not that often, unfortunately.

11. What book are you looking forward to reading?

Norse mythology by Neil Gaiman, if I only get to pick one.

I never got into Harry Potter, but I’ve been told that I’m a Hufflepuff, which from my understanding means I’m like, a loyal friend and compassionate and stuff? So heck man, I’m down with that.

Donna Tartt: Which of the seven deadly sins are you most guilty of?

omg sloth for sure.

George R.R. Martin: Would you rather marry for wealth/power or murder for it?

Buddy, I wouldn’t know what to do with power if I had it to any degree worth marrying or murdering for.

J.R. Tolkien: What is your favorite magical creature?

You know, I’ve never really given that much thought, so I’m looking at a list of magical creatures and... apparently there are little dudes called Brownies who come out of the woodwork at night to clean your house in exchange for scraps of food? I could get on board with that.

Jane Austen: What social faux-pas annoys you the most?

I’m not sure if this really counts as a “social faux-pas” but... people who leave voicemails that go something like, “hey... I wanna talk to you about something... call me back...” Like??? I’m sorry, but can’t you just say, “hey I have a question about XYZ, can you get back to me?” Shit gives me fuckin’ anxiety, man.

JD Salinger: What is/was your worst subject in school?

Hmmm.... the only class I ever got close to failing was Statistics. 

Stephen King: What kind of curse would most effectively punish you for disrespecting the sanctity of some Native American burial grounds?

If everywhere I drove my car... I was behind somebody who was going under the speed limit... and who kept tapping their brakes for no reason...

Oscar Wilde:  Would you sweep your rival a magnificently lethal leg at the top of a long flight of stairs?

I’d... consider it.

Charles Dickens:  How do you really feel about children?

They’re okay I guess. They occasionally do cute things? Definitely don’t want any of my own though.

Thank you for the help! But that Paper was from my associates degree. I'm almost done with my Bachelors now haha. But those articles are definitely interesting. I'm going to have to read them!

I love your gothic America pieces! I wish I was better at writing atmosphere like that but I tend to spend all my time with characters. Your bus stop one reminded me of some dialogue from the Vampire Diaries. It also gave me this sense of London Below from Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere, or American Gods.

Thank you! I really love the surrealistic prose and I feel like some of my favorite prose pieces I’ve done in the past are similar.

I suck at fictional characters, which is why I’ve fallen so in love with creative nonfiction, I think! 

Also being compared to Neil Gaiman is high praise, wow, thank you so much!
