“So you may need be wondering what a ‘&$*&’ is...”
"Remind me to never invite Magica to a book club."
@amaranthinemuses: “Gosalyn held a surprise party for Violet or something and Drake's just watching over along with Violet's dads?” Happy birthday, Violet! (May 15)
She had a feeling that Gosalyn and Mr. Mallard were planning something from how little Indigo and Tyrian were telling her and Lena on the drive to St. Canard. Even so, opening up the door to the Mallard household, she recoiled at the sudden noise. Her new friend was chaotic, she was clearly beginning to see. Even more so than Webbigail or Dewford.
But it was the good kind of chaotic.
She was quick to adjust to the atmosphere, and while Indigo, Tyrian, and Mr. Mallard all sat back together, Gosalyn was leading Violet and Lena in all of the usual birthday party happenings, with a small cake, a few games between the two of them--which even Violet couldn’t resist pulling her fathers and her sister in to play--and, finally, a present.
“This has been fun, Gosalyn. Thank you for having us over. Did you like the hors d’oeuvres we made?”
"Today is Cinco de Mayo and Taco Tuesday, I see. Tyrian and I made not-tacos for the occasion."
@ketchupblood said: "Sweetheart, you look exhausted. Did you not get any sleep last night?"
She yawned again. Yes, Alistair, she was exhausted. She didn’t dare want to worry him, but she had to be honest about what had transpired the night before.
“No. I was in--” She hesitated. “I was in a little bit of trouble.”

Textopolis; a text that wasn’t sent
Alistair had magic in his blood. Given the predicament Violet found herself in right now, while not too dire, she felt she needed someone more experienced. That someone happened to not be answering her.
[Is Alistair still awake? I need his he]
He probably wasn’t. Lena was probably still awake, though. She would have this all solved in no time.
Violet- do you have a favorite dad?
“Come on, anon, don’t make me do this to either of them.” Well, she does have to be honest. “No. No, neither of them are perfect. And, sometimes, I feel better with one than the other, but that’s normal. Both of them have certainly helped me through hard moments, and I know they love me. Both.”
