>YOU HAVE OBTAINED: SWORD BREAD! +1 ATTACK, -50 HUNGRY! Smells like hot coals and smoked berries under all that bread scent.
Unused ti being the one to recieve such gifts, the Other Yugi blinks a few times in surprise as the baked blade appears before him. He takes the sword bread hesitantly, holding it awkwardly for a moment. He looks around himself, as if making sure the coast is clear, then gives the sword a playful swing as he realizes...
"What am I going to do with a bread sword?"
> You hear the roar echoing through the Church and feel the increased heaviness of the chucklevoodoos in the air. Your eyes itch and you’re suddenly so very very aware of just how terrified everyone is around you and you’re so -
> You shake your head and clench your eyes shut, your think pan hurts and your skin’s itching and you’re curling yourself up in your pile, nails digging deep, deep into your arms because you’re angry and you can’t do anything about it
The Dive
===> Vriska Serket: What have you been doing?
> Your name is Vriska Serket, and you've been doing a lot of things lately! Although, one of the things you've been doing has consumed the most of your time, and that thing is searching for remnants of your ancestor, Marquise Spinner8 Mindfang. It had been your mission since you found her first journal back in your youth, and some say it's a stupid obsession now but if anything you want closure.
> And honestly? Your silly 'obsession' payed off.
> One night, during your exploring, you set anchor in a area you haven't been before, eager to explore. You prepared your gear, and without hesitation dived, and Ma wasn't far behind you. She latched onto your shoulder as you dove deeper and deeper into the dark waters only illuminated by the light of the moons.
> You didn't expect to find what you did. Outlined by the light of the moons was the remnants of a ship, nearly overcome by wildlife, the coral reefs consuming the deck and fish swimming about. It was beautiful and eerie seeing it yourself, and it took your breath away as you tread water just taking it in before you finally begin to swim towards it.
> The masts have long since rotted away, taken away by the tides, and a large portion of the ship itself was gone. You could only assume that this ship was a victim of a pirate attack of some sort, stolen from and burned.
> You follow the length of the ship, hand gliding over one of the many charred planks of wood, watching it flake at your touch and drift away with the tide. You slowly continue until a letter emblazzen in the side catches your eye. Your brows furrow a bit as you swim closer, the name you assume. Half of it is covered by barnacles and you have to take a moment to find a rock before you return to this portion of the ship.
> You hesitate for a moment before you begin lightly chipping the barnacles away, afraid of damaging the name behind it if you hit too hard.
> As they fall, your excitement begins mounting.

> The Gam8lignant.
> Bubbles errupt from your mouth as an excited scream escapes you, but the excitement is replaced with fear as a trident slams into the wood of the ship mere inches away from your head, shattering the wood and sending splinters flying through the waters.
>> Narrow your eyes at the dashboard.
>> The “Bro” figure knows that these...puppets. Bother Sock. Also Dave.
>> Probably.
>> Disgruntled honks.
Searching the (k)night
You’re smoking like a chimney as you fiddle on your phone, waiting at a red light. Half helmets are handy for that. Also losing a hell of a lot of face if you take a spill, but you’re not particularly worried about it.
Idly you realize you never messaged a few people on the daily like you do, and move to fix that...after. Hopefully. With luck this won’t take all damn night. You can hear them, the spirits, over the whistling wind in your ears and through the tugging chain in your pocket. Close, close. But where? All of these brownstones... How the hell.
I know you. And I know what you did.
Aren't you cute playing pretend in your happy little afterlife? You were always a monster, and you always will be. You'll get what you deserve, even if I have to see to that myself.
See you again soon, Pharaoh.
Yugi opens the ask in his inbox, ready to give another anon a piece of his mind, ready to defend the other half of his soul and stand his ground on his feelings. But as his eyes skim over the accusatory words, there's another who reacts to them. He only feels the way his other heart freezes for a second before, in a rare act of defiance, his consciousness is pulled away from the driver's seat by his other self.
It's still his Partner's hands that shake as the spirit stares at the screen. His Partner's heart that thuds in his chest, his Partner's stomach that turns and sinks.
The spirit, the Other Yugi, swallows dryly.
This isn't some faceless being grasping at straws to break their bond, some bored nobody trying and failing to sew seeds of distrust between the two of them. Even with no proof, the Spirit feels it in his gut, in his heart. This is different.
This is personal.
He reads it over and over again, heartbeat deafening in his ears. Time stands still and so does the Other Yugi, paralyzed by the accusations, by the warning.
A gentle voice from inside his heart breaks him from his trance.
"other me, don't let it get to you. it's just--"
Before Yugi's sentence is complete, his Other Half quickly taps the delete button, banishing the ask to the depths of the void, forever unanswered.
But its words remain, burned into the Spirit's mind, playing over and over, even as he pushes his Partner back into the driver's seat and the heavy, metal door of his Soul Room slams shut.
m!a: an innocuous gift appears! the plain white wrapping paper has been decorated with hand drawn sweets and sanrio characters, and a hot pink bow sits on top with a tag attached reading "i saw these and thought of u!!". opening the box reveals a large puff of holo glitter, sorry yugi, and beneath a considerable amount of sprinkle themed tissue paper is a pair of trashville-138 boots in black patent, theyre just your size!
Yugi is at his locker, changing shoes to head home from his morning class when the box appears. He looks around cautiously, but no one seems to notice or pay him any mind. Everything in him wants to tear open the paper here and now, but he thins twice, listens to the advice he hears in his heart, and nearly skips home to open the gift instead.
Once in his room, he unties the bow carefully, wanting to save the hand drawn wrapping paper as best as possible. He does however tear through the tissue paper excitedly, sending holographic glitter all over his bedroom to find for weeks or even months to come. His eyes light up with nearly as much shine as he pulls out the shiny, black boots.
"ohhhh my god, honeyyy!!" he exclaims to an empty room as he scrambles to try them on
