🪨 — Whatever mild annoyance Bolin felt for Mox to not follow up as discussed is now completely gone. Instead, the teen is worried. And feels bad, too.

"Uh– are you really okay? We can abort the heist and uh... try again tomorrow?"

Bolin knows Mako will get very mad at him if he learns about any of this, though. The faster they get inside the villa and get the goods, the better. But, he definitely didn't want someone to get hurt in the process.

After glancing down, with his fire ferret Pabu perching on his head, Bolin looks around like a jolted doe. It seems no one heard the ladder breaking, at least.

"I could try breaking a hole in the wall to make an entrance, buuut I'm pretty sure they would hear that..."

🪨 — He had seen that woman before, but it takes him embarrassingly long to pin-point where. But that's right, she's hanging around Varrick a lot as of lately. Something-something his new bodyguard? He's impressed actually that she seemingly hasn't quit that job yet. It's already a lot to be Zhu-Li's assistant and constantly having to deal with his antics.

"Huh?" Not the kind of question he anticipated if he had to be honest. "Youuu... mean by way of greeting, right? I really prefer hugs, actually. You're... Varrick's bodyguard, right? Nice to meet you, I'm Bolin."

🪨 — Bolin returns the hug because he's all about friendly greetings and (bear-) hugs. He doesn't really mind the cheek kisses either, but he's not returning those. He's more of a happy hugger when among his friends anyway.

"Heyyy, I haven't seen you around here in a bit. What have you been up to? I think Varrick asked the other way about you. Buuuut I dunno what he wanted, he already went on about something completely different before I could ask." He shrugs awkwardly.

🪨 — "But, that's the whole point", Bolin retorts in mild frustration. "No one here ever expects me to be observant! But I do pay attention!"

Which he emphasized of by pointing out all sorts of details he noticed. Like mentioning to one of the guests that he saw the dress she is wearing today in a secondhand store the other day, but that it looks good on her. The compliment was pointless, of course. Other guests overheard that she is wearing a dress that is neither new nor valuable, and she hurried out in embarrassment.

"How should I know they're all so touchy here? Varrick didn't mind me being honest with him. I just thought... you know..."

With multiple flower crowns looped on her arm, Emil reached up to place another one on top of Bolin's head. "It goes well with your eyes," she said with a grin. Did it? Who knew; she had no clue what colour were his eyes, nor the flowers. @onboardsaltedcaramel

🪨 — Bolin's silly smile widens from ear to ear as the flower-crown is placed on his head. Did he take notice of the rather obvious discrepancy between what she said and her being blind? Nope, he absolutely didn't. There he is, sitting on the floor, radiating excited golden retriever energy. He squints upwards to catch a glimpse of the flowers hanging from his forehead.

"Woah! That is very thoughtful of you! I really love the flowers! They're so radiant!" One could argue whether Butterfly Weeds, orange Zinnias and Marigolds fit his green eyes or not, but the color meaning itself is definitely spot-on here. "You really got an eye for colours!" Excited Golden Retriever energy. He might catch up on it in a minute or two.
