You might be thinking, 'oh, this is the counter to words of affirmation!' Well you'd be WRONG. This is the opposite of gift giving buuut the same principle applies. It means you just cut people that you don't like off, you don't respond to compliments, or nice things from them. Maybe a side eye... but yeeaahh.

Vivi’s Holiday Gift Giving Event!

Heyoooo everyone!!! 

Every year, I always send out a bunch of asks to blogs containing gifts specifically catered to their muses straight from the blueberry herself. It’s gotten to be a lot since I’ve been doing it so I try to garner some interest in the event each year. Just so I can keep track of who I sent asks out to and such.

If you want your muse to be gifted something for Christmas from Vivi, please like this post! You must have interacted with Vivi at least once. If you’re a multi-muse, please specify the muse/muses you wish to get gifts! 

All verses are welcome (excluding SotFD because that’s a specific timed verse) so go for it! These asks will be going out around Christmas Eve/Christmas Day/a few days after depending on the volume of muses. I’ll be reblogging this post for a few days as well. That way everyone has a chance to see it.

A little bit of that Danann blood thang

Okay! So I decided to re-explain a bit about the Conans and their connection to the Tuatha de Danann, or the faerie people, just so there’s a place of reference in case it’s needed:

A little history:

So, the Conans are direct descendants of Conn of the Hundred Battles, a legendary leader. Conn had two sons: Art and Connla. Connla fell in love with a Danann woman. After Connla’s family forbade him from being with her, they ran off together. They made it seem like they ran off to the Otherworld, but they actually lived peacefully in lands that would eventually become a part of Connacht, and which their descendants would inevitably claim from themselves. Connla changed his name to ‘Conan’ and his many children used his name as a surname. That’s how the Clan Conan came to be.

Now, those born in the clan all have a superhuman edge. Conans, for instance, age slower than regular humans and can live longer. They have an incredibly strong resistance to non-Danann magic (especially of the psychic or mind invasive kind.)  They also can have other extraordinary talents. For example, Clement and Riley could earn music with ease. Clement also is a talented poet. William has a knack for healing -- Eamonn had this too. Slania, like Deirdre before her, has amazing singing abilities.

But, there is always one person in each generation that has the strongest Danann Blood, which means they have more Danann abilities/traits than the rest of their family. Godfrey Conan had it the strongest amongst his siblings, which he passed down to his daughter, Deirdre, and then she passed it down to Slania. Yes, this means Deirdre and Slania had/have more Danann in them than their brothers. They’re the strongest of their generations, and the closest to their Danann ancestors. Basically, Slania is a superhuman.

This means, unfortunately, that they can be detected as Danann-descendant quicker than their siblings or relatives (which is why Morgan was able to smell Slania’s Danann blood right off the bat. She’d probably have a much harder time smelling it in Riley, Chris, or Lena. Other supernatural beings can see the difference via her aura.) 

Also, if Slania steps into a “fairy circle”, well, it could be dangerous and I’ll elaborate on that when the time comes. ;)

So that’s it for now! Just wanted to clear that up as I move on ahead with Slania and showcase more what she can do. There’s more details to the Conans, but I’ll reveal those detail as the story progresses.
