Jace isn't one to write as much in a journal, but there is a sketchbook full of rough linework and watercolor paints. Lafayette takes up a two page spread in at least several poses. There's one of him smiling, one of him sitting proper on a bench, and a myriad of other shots. Little snippets are strewn throughout the page, including one complimenting his 'soft doe eyes' and 'drawable cheekbones'. Tucked between the pages is a photograph Jace took overhead of him and Lafayette, a wide grin on his face and a cravat around his own neck.

Rachael asked a bunch of questions about me today. It caught me off guard. She has this way about her where she seems so casual, but sometimes I think she's noting more than she lets on. Like how she keeps leaving food around where I am and invited me out to a pasta event. I think she notices I don't eat. She doesn't say it though. She just makes food accessible. And her questions. I dunno. She's definitely curious. There's more going on under some of her nonchalance.
That and she's kind of the most open closed book I know. She tells you things, but sometimes she's evasive. I feel like there's more going on with her. I mean she's told me she has some abilities but she hasn't shown me either. It's like a weird balance of forthright with precaution. It's not a bad thing though. I like understanding her. I don't mind learning at her pace, but it's interesting what comes easy and what is difficult to share for her. I guess I can't say anything, though. But I appreciate that she's interested in knowing me, even if it feels weird whenever she asks something. But I want to know her too. So I guess fair is fair.
