low affection: Will only accept dates to the arcade and even then, ignores you the entire time, aiming to beat all the high scores (and succeeding). You can challenge him to a competitive game, but beating him is near impossible.
medium affection: Hiking trips are a go-go! You can ask him to take you on one and he’ll oblige, begrudgingly. Furthermore, you can ask him out to more standard date locations and he’ll say yes if there’s some angle that appeals to him (ex: you can ask him to the movies, but he’ll only accept if it’s hero-based / action-based). He will also agree to tutor you around exams time.
high affection: He’ll start asking you out on dates on his own volition -- things that he normally wouldn’t do but will try to do for your sake. He will also ask you out to the festival, where he’ll beat all the game stalls and give you all the prizes, saying that he didn’t care for the prizes--he just wanted to win.
IDEAL GIFT:
He only accepts food, at first. When you’re higher on affection (and after you stumble on his hidden All Might collection), he’ll start accepting All Might-based merchandise.
HOW MANY DATES UNTIL THEY MAX OUT AFFECTION:
A lot. Katsuki is the kind of love interest you have to dedicate a whole playthrough for (and probably have to have a guide open). First, you have to show up conveniently at all the locations that he’s at. Second, you have to persistently ask him out and accept that he’s going to reject you the first five times. Third, his route is sure to have plenty of choices where you hurt his pride and lose affection with him. It’s one of those routes where he wonder if the effort is worth it, but when he asks you out for the first time, you realize that it was.
