The iconic Horsehead Nebula is just a dark region that appears in front of the massive Orion Molecular Cloud Complex. It is in the Belt of Orion constellation but is too faint for a casual observer. If our galaxy were a city, it would seem only a few streets away, suggesting that we live in a colorful neighborhood, but our eyes are to weak to reveal this to us.
