Icada Appearance: Icadans are humanoid aliens that have pale, almost white-gray iridescent skin. The color of this iridescent is inherited from one or both of its parents. Their eyes are shades of purple, ranging from a lavender at the lightest to almost black at the darkest, and white eyes are also very common. There is a small solid colored ring right outside of their pupil that usually matches the iridescent color on their skin. Their average height is almost identical to the average height of humans, both male and female. They have teeth designed to eat both meat and plants, although most Icadans prefer to eat only the latter as plants are easier for their bodies to digest. Their hair is white or gray, and it grows on their scalps and their brow lines but no where else. They also bear horns, which begin to grow once they reach puberty. These horns can range in grayscale color from white to black and have a marbling of color which reflects their iridescent skin color Biology: The Icadans come from a temperate, oceanic planet and do well on most currently colonized planets. They breathe oxygen but are also able to spend long amounts of time underwater, although they lack gills. However, their fingers are elongated, a remnant of what most Icadan scientists believe used to be an aquatic adaptation. They are able to digest both plant and animal matter, although most prefer to only ingest plants both because they are easier for an Icadan to digest and because of personal preference. They are very lean and lithe people and they are very quick and agile. They are not, however, build to fight, and are more fragile than many other species and much more prone to limb damage and other physical wounds. Society: The Icadans are a race devoted to science, art, and mathematics, and to learning and studying the mysteries of the galaxy.  Highly intelligent, they are excellent politicans and often are shrewd businessmen and women. Many travel to the great Academy on the planet of Kashavin to study and to teach others. It is also extremely common to find Icadan doctors on most colonies and planetary settlements. Their government is a council made of five elected representatives, voted in for each region of their home planet. The council has meetings each lunar cycle to discuss pressing matters at hand. They also have a representative in the Assembly. They firmly believe that no one being has the right to take the life of any other, and do  try to avoid conflicts as much as they are able. However, when they are forced to fight, they prefer using more stealthy methods rather than a full frontal attack. They also are brought into other races’ militaries to act as scouts.
