I went to the final concert of the first international Chopin competition on period instruments. One comment: wow. Despite the fact that the music to spoken stuff ratio was way too low, I was amazed by the incredible young pianists there are out there. And the whole thing was incredible: beautiful orchestra and director, beautiful place, beautiful pianos!
Just wow
And Tomasz Ritter played so well, he deserves the win, he plays so brilliantly at such a young age.
