🍉 Watermelon bingsu (ASMR) - ASMR Suna on YTB 🍉
The satay stall at Chong Pang Food Centre 🏤 starts operating at 4pm daily so me and mum went for an early dinner to avoid the long queues. Placed our order and obtain the Self Service Buzzer then head over to the dessert stall a couple of units away.
At the dessert stall, mum asked for the S$2 a bowl Ice Jelly (文头雪) or Aiyu Jelly (爱玉) but customized with additional red beans 🫘 (+S$0.50) and cendol jellies (+S$0.50).
I went with cold Bubur Cha Cha (摩摩查查) at S$2 a bowl. This coconut milk 🥥 based dessert (eaten cold or hot) is prepared using pearled sago, sweet potatoes 🍠, yams 🥔, coconut milk, pandan leaves and sugar. Here, the seller has also added red agar-agar cubes.
When the buzzer started buzzing, it is time to go collect our Satays (S$0.70 per stick). As usual, I ordered 30 sticks of which is split equally among mutton 🐑 and pork 🐖 satays. Since this is going to be our dinner, we also gotten three Ketupat (S$0.70 each) which is a rice cake packed inside a diamond-shaped container of woven palm/pandan leaf pouch. The dish is accompanied with sliced cucumbers 🥒, onions 🧅 and sweet Peanut Sauce 🥜 for dipping.

[MASTERLIST]
Normally for us, we will order the Satays (沙爹) first then proceed to the dessert stall since the former will takes some time to be ready. Surprisingly, our order of mutton 🐑 and pork 🐖 satays (S$0.70 per skewer) were served to us in less than 10 minutes! Pick up a stick of pork satay and a cube of the Ketupat (rice cake in woven palm leaf pouch) to dip into the savoury sweet Peanut 🥜 Sauce. Yum, delicious…
By the time we consumed the cold desserts, the ice shaving had mostly melted in our typical warm and humid Singapore weather. I had Chendol (Cendol), an iced sweet dessert that contains droplets of green rice flour jelly, coconut milk and palm sugar syrup with a variety of toppings. Mum custom order her Aiyu Jelly with added green rice flour jelly and red bean. 🫘
