for me the colors look very deviantart fanart, like they look like theyre just someones own personal work made and not somethibg made by professionals to be in a show. its very visually flat and as you said, the colors arent cohesive with each other
mhm, exactly! they feel like pieces of cardboard because of their color design. its almost baffling to me with how many cartoons get away with the least cohesive color schemes. they look nasty!
