Parasite Eve-inspired sci-fi horror RPG Parasite Mutant announced for PS5, PC - Gematsu
Frontier Hunter: Erza’s Wheel of Fortune developer IceSitruuna has announced Parasite Mutant, a Parasite Eve-inspired science-fiction horror RPG set in the distant future. It will launch for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in 2026.

About
Parasite Mutant is a science-fiction horror RPG set in the distant future. Psionic agent Nova was sent on a mission to an abandoned and secluded island city filled with horrifying creatures, not knowing that what happened on the island will completely change her fate.
Key Features
Combat System – Parasite Mutant uses ATC (Active Time Chains) which combines the popular Active Time Battle system used in RPGs of the late-90s and a three-segment chain system. Players will need to time their actions on each segments and decide whether they want to save their energy and do a chain release. As the gauge fills up, players will need to dodge enemy attacks and launch their attack at the best possible time.
Art Style – Parasite Mutant uses a semi-realistic anime art style and utilizes modern rendering techniques to give our players a HD visual experience. Additionally, we have introduced a retro filter and CRT filter to bring players back that late-90s to 2000s vibe.
Setting – Parasite Mutant is a survival horror game with a diverse array of horrifying mutants. In the game, players will solve various puzzles in search of answers and maybe uncover the horrifying secret of this universe.
Level Up System – Parasite Mutant uses the classic equipment progression system. Players can attach various modules onto their equipment, or enhance their equipment using Plus Points that can be obtained through combat.
New Game+ – Parasite Mutant has a New Game+ mode that allows players to inherit Plus Points from their previous playthrough. The New Game+ mode unlocks new locations where players have to continue to strengthen themselves and complete the final challenge.
Outfit System – The game will feature an outfit‑changing system

Parasite Mutant demo for PC now available - Gematsu
IceSitruuna has released a demo for September-announced science-fiction horror RPG Parasite Mutant for PC via Steam, the developer announced.
The demo features the following content:
A tutorial to help you learn the core gameplay, including the combat system, etc.
The prologue, with a very small amount of story content.
An explorable area that covers about five percent of the full game’s total scope.
The demo takes about 45 minutes to complete.
Parasite Mutant is due out for PlayStation 5and PC via Steam in 2026.
Frontier Hunter: Erza’s Wheel of Fortune free update and paid DLC announced - Gematsu
IceSitruuna will release Frontier Hunter: Erza’s Wheel of Fortune free update “The Legacy of the Demon King” on September 12, followed by the paid downloadable content “The Mother’s Trial” on an unannounced date to be confirmed soon, the developer announced.

Free Update: “The Legacy of the Demon King”
“The Legacy of the Demon King” update starts after the final boss fight when everybody’s celebrating the victory, resting, and preparing to get back home. The universe has a different plan for Ezra however with a mysterious figure showing up out of nowhere to warn her that signs of the Divine Punishment have emerged. Ezra doesn’t know yet that the wheel of the Demon King’s fate has already started spinning wildly…
New hidden areas within eight levels such as The Glowing Forest, The Mysterious Cave, The Desert Prison, or The City of Ghouls.
Over 20 new, powerful monsters with their corresponding magic cores.
Elsa will now be able to inherit Eva’s weapon.
Extremely powerful new weapons, armor, and accessories will push the main team beyond their limits.
The rumored hidden boss will not only make an appearance but also defeating him will reward gamers with a new swimsuit for free!

Paid Downloadable Content: “The Mother’s Trial”
Once done with the new content available in the free update and still craving more, gamers will be able to purchase the paid downloadable content “The Mother’s Trial.” It’ll be the only paid expansion for the game where players will be able to face Elsa’s mother in an epic battle, taking place in the virtual training room of the airship. There, Elsa’s mother will test how much her daughter and disciple has grown. Gamers will be able to take this challenge multiple times. The downloadable content launch date will be announced soon.
