Overdo update/con report
So... been 2 months since SakuraCon 2018 happened, and I apologize for yet again taking a long time afterwards to say anything about it. Honestly? I think it’s simply because I get so tired out afterwards, have to clean up the chaos that con prep created in my home, and stuff comes up after that which makes me too busy and/or tired to post anywhere other than FB. *sigh* ANYHOO... Con was fun, though not as fun as it could’ve been since I was unfortunately ghosting (SakuraCon is the worst con to ghost, imho, because friends I want to see/hang out with the most - they all tend to be only in the areas you need a badge for, besides the depressing awkwardness of being unable to follow friends into such areas when hanging out with them - which happened more than once during con this year & it sucked major ass). Hoping that if I can afford it next year, might room with my moirail-bestie and one of my closest friends in the Yu-Gi-Oh community - it’s all a matter of getting my ass a job between now and the end of February. *crosses fingers & toes* Highlights of con = 1.) Belatedly celebrating @carson-thatcher ‘s birthday with a hotel room party and goofy shenanigans with our friends that followed (plus, STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE); 2.) Witnessing @iceylefrawst debut her improved 1st season Zoro Roronoa cosplay that included steel replicas of his swords (so epic indeed); 3.) Debuting a closet cosplay of Pegasus in a bathrobe, from Yu-Gi-Oh: Pyramid of Light (which I hope to get a better robe for if I ever do that cosplay again); 4.) Getting another chance to wear the yellow coat version of Chopper from the OP Punk Hazard arc (hope to improve it & find someone who’ll attach snaps on it for me, so it’ll fit better and be more comfortable the next time I wear it); and 5.) Enjoying a last night romp with friends at the Cheesecake Factory, during which some crazy af weather happened (big downpour of hail & bit of lightning/thunder).
