ICG 9568 at Freeport, IL by Lance Via Flickr: “The ICG started painting locos in this Slate Gray scheme in 1979 and it looked pretty classy at the time. When I ran across the ICG 9568 at Freeport, IL on August 15, 1983 though, it didn’t look all that well. The GP38-2 had just took a spun on the turntable in the background so it was probably going to lead an eastbound freight later in the day. The loco was built as the GM&O 748 in April of 1972 and it appears that as of early 2020, it is still running around. Now it wears the Canadian National paint scheme, but still numbered 9568.”
