This former Holiday Inn is abandoned in Freeport, Illinois. It last operated under the name the Plaza Inn and was put up for sale in 2016. I came across the real estate listing from 9 years ago and the listing photos feel very liminal to me. Crazy to think the inside may look exactly the same now as it did in these photos - likely with a touch more vandalism and mold.
