I’m finally doing what I’ve wanted to do ever since I started Horror Flora - I’M OFFICIALLY OPENING UP THE BLOG FOR FAN-WRITTEN ICHF ENTRIES!  You can send your ICHF to [email protected] from now to October 3rd, and, if they’re approved, they will be published on the site as part of its anniversary celebration this year!  Entrants will be credited for their work, complete with a link back to their blog/website/what have you.  For more details, follow the link!

Given the atmosphere of dread in my country right now, I think I’m probably not the only person taking comfort in the fantasy of a giant monster laying waste to human civilization right now.  So why not talk about Gorgo, a monster whose movie says that very same scenario really is the best thing for us?

But seriously, Gorgo is one of my favorite monsters of all time, and his movie has just as much thematic influence on my kaiju stories as Godzilla’s many films.
