I have an absolutely wonderful visual of Schlatt downing the darkness potion like John Mulaney drinking a bottle of perfume
darkness: that was completely unnecessary the man is completely fucked up and dark already

I'm catching up on the streams so I would like to suggest dragon Jordan who hoards people as well as items
OH I LIKE THAT A LOT
Now the question is: who gets to him first? Who does our lovely god of balance lean on for help, towards whom do the scales tip?
jordan is trying. jordan does what he can, tries to be balanced without bias, tries to see the line to walk and when to cross. tries not to let too much tilt too far, but the thing is, he is not a natural born god. and he is not meant to be doing this.
he is tearing at the seams. he is going to snap. and should chaos offer safety in a long time friend, jordan can drift. should order offer comfort in a new weapon, jordan may waver.
Every now and then the sound of a reverberated iPhone alarm rings through my head and I'm reminded that Schlatt is, or at very least, was a god
and that charlie’s the only motherfucker that was able to do shit about it
I almost hope that one lovely dear doesn't even know who Jordan is, because the concept of us going off about dsmp hard enough to get the attention of broader mcyt ppl h a l a r i o u s
when i first made that post it reached a lot of mcyt blogs that started following me so like i’m not surprised
Balance is a secondary, a necessity for keeping Ianite well and thriving. But in the end he really does just care about Ianite, about connecting with her in anyway he can
I wonder how much he would have done in the name of order or chaos if she had been a god of those things. How much more blood would be on his hands if Ianite wasn't so content to defensive
if ianite asked it of him, it would be done.
the air stone? hers, in time, despite the consequences it brought him. he needs to win the purge? he’ll haunt where their bodies are revived and wait for them to be at their weakest and do whatever dirty trick he can to make sure he gets as far as he can. if she wants a relic, so be it. if she needs something stolen, it shall be done. take the item, ruin the temple, cleanse the area, burn the boat. kill your friends. lie for me, destroy for me, bring about the end of my brothers.
drink the potion.
all for balance. (all for me.)
Let Jordan's belief crumble under the weight of his own hubris! The set ups right there!! Undying loyalty, a refusal of chaos and 'evil' while commiting dark acts, a stubborn belief that's he's working for good. It's all there for the taking
Cowards give us dark Jordan
he’s blind to everything but her. he insists he knows what’s right- it’s for balance, it’s all for balance, what else was there and what else could there be? so you take something you shouldn’t, and you hide it away and never use it. you could destroy it but no.
you keep it safe. hidden, and untouched, and safe.
because..... balance?
I think Tumblr ate this ask so, have some good for thought:
The Darkness offered Jordan a gem and well, ianite has a gem set in her circlet
offered that he TOOK
he TOOK the gem and i’m still thinking about it four months later. he took it for ‘balance’ but it’s always some fucking balance bullshit with him, isn’t it, he’s literally taking the scales into his own hands
it’s like... it’s like he’s compensating for some kind of loss. it’s like he’s desperately trying to fill some kind of void in the world, in the power, in the gods themselves
