Last Day of Summer Camp
Today (08/11/17) was my last day of being a camp counselor after working for nine weeks. At first, camp was difficult and exhausting because there were many things that I had to fulfill as a counselor. However, it got easier (and the misbehaving kids left earlier). I forgot about the stress of my subbing job for a bit. It was bitersweet that it is over. I am gonna miss the sun, the pool, the lax environment, and the nice counselors I worked with. But I am looking forward to graduate school in the fall and redeeming myself from my mistakes from my undergraduate years. I am wondering what will it be like to mix work and school? I am also trying to get a teaching certification for middle to high school social science to probably teach in case of emergency during my time at Barry; however, once I get my specialist, school psychology will be my one true love. Fun things will end, but better things will come.
Graduate School Fall 2017
Starting Fall 2017, I will be attending Barry University for the Specialist degree in School Psychology. I am looking forward to the program and how it will benefit me when I am applying for PhD programs. The benefit of Barry's School Psychology program is that classes start after six pm so I can still sub during the day. Barry was not my first choice program. My goal was to leave Miami or even Florida all together, but life happens. I wasn't the best student during my undergraduate years at UF and it was a mixture of self-inflicted and health reasons so it was all my fault. Despite my situation, I am grateful to get into a program and work enough to have some savings from working two different jobs. As summer is winding down, I need to prepare myself to both work and attending school full time. I pray that I use this opportunity to redeem myself for better options in the future. Till then, peace out! 😀
Milkis, like my previous mentioned post about Calpico, is also a milky-tasting carbonated drink. It comes in many flavors and it is a nice treat after a long day of work.
Pocari Sweat, the Japanese Gatorade. Although the characters from the can to the right are in Korean, this is a Japanese drink. It has a mild taste, but it makes up for having a lot of electrolytes for one to recover after a long day of hard work.
I accidently deleted the best photo after I drank the beverage so I found a clearer picture of it from online. I never had goji fruit drink before, but I am looking forward to trying this pleasant sweet drink again.
I found this chocolate much sweeter than American white chocolate. It was also nice to share with well-behaved students and everyone was happy.
I haven’t had these in years and I remember getting these in a sample pack with other treats and I enjoyed these mini chocolate nuggets. The name Choco Baby makes me chuckle a bit.
