“that’s probably because your ship is kind of ruddy,” the pirate sniffles, gazing at the circuitry and machinery with sad eyes. oh, how poorly managed this ship was. it was a good model–it didn’t deserve such neglect. all ships deserved to be pampered and modified to its utmost potential. “my balstoise, i’ve put so much love into them and they’ve performed miracles. you just need to believe in your ship!! and... to invest in a better mechanic.”

Clio looks at the other with a small frown on her features, one that has stayed there since she saw Nerio approach. The boy - or rather, the boy’s occupation - is not Clio’s cup of tea and she always feels wary around him. She doesn’t hide it, either, but still the boy seems to keep popping up wherever she is, whether intentional or a coincidence, Clio doesn’t know.

His words irk her a bit, but she has to admit that he is right as much as she hates it. “Yeah, sure.” She murmurs, eyebrows still furrowed and lips pursed in a small pout, looking away from him and focusing on the map in front of her. “There look okay?” She says as she points to one of the main space ports of Jakku in the map, eyes focused on it.

"Just because it's furry and cute, doesn't mean it isn't dangerous."

“are you talkin’ ‘bout you’self?” 

his speech is slurred, head almost hitting the bar top. it’s been a long day, and one that he’d rather forget. ( dealing with captain song is always tiring. )

he reaches out with the hand still holding onto the oddly-shaped glass, finger coated with condensation when he reaches out and pokes the other male’s arm. or tries to ( twice ), before finally succeeding. 

“you’ve got th’ second part down. the furry part, not so much. a’ least, i don’ think so. are you wearin’ a...” he makes circular hand motions, entirely dismissive, before laughing it off and taking another swig. “ring. are you wearin’ one of ‘em rings?”

being stationed out here means that he can probably come into contact with outlaws more often than anywhere else. it’s a big responsibility, but some little, insignificant people have to be let go to catch something bigger. “you’re in no position to discuss my professional misgivings, pirate. i’m simply making an executive decision. shall we discuss this matter away from this bar?” he takes a cautious look around, and his nose twitches in disgust, though not much else changes in his expression. “raxus isn’t known for its discreetness, and i would not like to be seen conversing with you.”

"You're sad enough. You're beautiful. Let's have sex."

the pirate raised a dark brow, eyeing the bright haired arrivant bemusedly. the pirates that frequented the tortuga pubs were rarely ever subtle about their desires but it was the first time that one had decided to comment on her emotional state. (especially when she wasn’t particularly sad, she just really liked red wine.) was this a display of their people’s courting behaviour? or was it because she had, what the humans called, a long face? in which case, no no, she wasn’t sad. in fact, qian was quite content. she was just simply… cerean. 

“i appreciate the offer, and you have very shapely thighs,” qian began, a bit cautiously. she wasn’t particularly ugly by any means, but she was fairly socially inept and it showed, so often times, she wasn’t a number one choice for such propositions. “but i don’t think i’m versed well enough in this act to accompany you tonight.”
