hi hi!! i hope you’re all doing great! this is just to let you all know that i’ll be going on a hiatus until sept 15th as i have quite a few busy weeks ahead of me! i know it’s a pretty lengthy hiatus but i won’t have time to write replies/starters orz anyway, if, in the meantime, you want to keep plotting/chatting with me, i’ll check clio’s ims from time to time and you can always catch me on aim/kakaotalk ( julslovegood ) or on twitter! see you soon~ <3
“i’m not exactly fond of the outer rim.” he tries to explain, though doesn’t elaborate further. this whole drinking thing is becoming a problem, and he can see why the last guy had been so quick in disappearing of the naval radar ( desertion, it’s called, but jinan calls it lack of will ). “are navigators supposed to ask so many questions?”
“That’s because you don’t know the good places to go to.” She replies with a smug smile as she turns to look at the console of the ship and inputs in the location of a bar on Jakku she knows well. She’s been born in these territories, and has spent most of her young adult life roaming them on different ships. She knows all the good spots, and the places where you wouldn’t like to be seen, specially if you’re a captain of the Empire.
“Probably not, but we can’t all be mindless robots, can we?” A smirk graces her features as she turns to look at the other. “Are captains supposed to always have a stick up their ass?” Tact has never been Clio’s strong point, but she has always managed to get away unscathed from whatever she gets herself into. It doesn’t look like the other is the fighting type, anyway.
The marketplace is full to the brim and people move around fast and wihout paying much attention to anything but their goal. Clio manouvers around them easily, her petite body an advantage when it comes to slipping between crowds without being noticed. Years of practice have lead to her being surprisingly fast and agile in almost any situations, even after several rounds in a bar, she can still make her way around easily and manages to even balance on one leg if necessary. It always comes in handy.
As she slips around a merchant carrying what looks like a very heavy tray of some disgusting food, she climbs on top of one of the little posts and finally stops there, a strawberrie and cream lollipop being taken out of her pocket and soon slipped into her mouth. She observes the place for a little while, the people going here and there, bargaining with merchants and the few people that try to rob some of the stalls - some of them successfully. Someone suddenly catches her attention, because it’s so obvious that they’re out of place, fumbling around and running into people constantly. Clio observes them for a little while before she jumps from her spot and makes her way towards them, standing behind them for a moment before tapping their shoulder.
“You might not want to touch that, it bites.” She says with a playful smirk on her face and a kind tone. She has been the prey of those beasties a long time ago, when she learned that they were not as friendly as they looked, and the girl seems like she could use the warning before it happens to her. She looks so delicate and out of place.

The male in front of her towers over her easily, and Clio is pretty sure that he could overpower her in no time if he wanted but, good thing is, he doesn’t. It makes Clio at ease, because as proud as she is of her fighting abilities - which are better than most navigator’s - she’s not the fighting type, she’s more the ‘try to confuse them with your words’ type. Not that she has tried to do that with the other; he had seemed more than happy to let Clio desembark from the ship she had accidentally run into after she was found out without any trouble and, for that, she’s very grateful.
“Good, good. I’m sure I can get in touch with my ship from there.” She says with a small smile towards the other. “There seems like a good place, I know how to get there wihout being seen.” She adds a moment later, pointing to a place in the map in front of them. If she has experience in something, it’s in getting places without being noticed.
Clio wakes up and the first thing she notices is that her bed is harder than usual. She turns around to try and get more comfortable, maybe sleep in for a bit, but when she does she realizes that she is actually not on a bed, but on the cold hard floor instead. And she’s not in her sleeping quarters either. She quickly - or as quickly as possible seeing she has just woken up - she stands up in the room and looks around. It all looks familiar, but she can easily tell that this is not the Allura. It’s very similar, and maybe someone that had not spent the last two years aboard the ship wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference, but Clio does.
Holding onto her blaster pistol, thankfully still fastened to her belt, she walks away from the room, steps slow and silent, all of her senses alert. She tries to remember what happened the night before but her mind can only recall going to a bar, drinking a lot and then it draws a blank. It’s not something that happens usually to Clio, she can usually hold her alcohol pretty well, but she had apparently gotten pretty wasted last night.
She suddenly hears noise nearby and she shifts back to alert mode, trying to work out where she is not as important as defending herself from whatever is making that noise. She approaches the source carefully, getting her pistol out of its holster and ready for attack in case it’s necessary. She finally makes it to what she assumes is the cockpit of the ship and there, fumbling with something, is a male who looks older than her, but not by much. Before making her presence known, she locates the communication boards of the ship, just in case she needs to ask for help. The other - the pilot of the ship, Clio assumes - doesn’t look too menacing, but you never know who you can find in space.
“Where am I and who are you?” She says loudly, making sure the other hears her clearly.

Clio looks at the other with a small frown on her features, one that has stayed there since she saw Nerio approach. The boy - or rather, the boy’s occupation - is not Clio’s cup of tea and she always feels wary around him. She doesn’t hide it, either, but still the boy seems to keep popping up wherever she is, whether intentional or a coincidence, Clio doesn’t know.
His words irk her a bit, but she has to admit that he is right as much as she hates it. “Yeah, sure.” She murmurs, eyebrows still furrowed and lips pursed in a small pout, looking away from him and focusing on the map in front of her. “There look okay?” She says as she points to one of the main space ports of Jakku in the map, eyes focused on it.
"When we make planetfall I just want to go into the nearest bar and get a good drink."

Clio is not sure how to deal with a Captain of the Imperial Navy, specially one that seems to just want to get drunk. Sure, she’s travelled the universe and met several servers of the Empire and, for the most part, she’s not too fond of them. She may not be part of the rumoured Rebel Alliance, but she sure as hell does not like the Empire, and that’s not about to change.
She raises her eyebrows at the other, lips pursing slightly, but that only lasts for a second before her features turn into a playful smirk. “I didn’t know captains were allowed to drink. Or are you by any chance defying the Empire?” She might get in trouble for even just playfully alluding at some kind of rebellion, but what’s life without a bit of risk?
"The engines are offline and I have no idea when we can get them running again."
"There's something obscuring the sensors. I can't tell what's down there."
"I think something is on board..."
"You can try to track this transmission, but don't bother. You won't be able to trace the signal."
"All we need to do is lay low for a while. Slip into a busy spaceport and no one will notice."
"I don't know what you think this ship is capable of, but it can't perform miracles."
"It was big and green; that's all I remember."
"I want the shields up and weapons online."
"We just wait here for a search party. We have enough rations for a week and there's just enough power to keep the temperature control systems functioning."
"I don't care what's out there. Grab a phaser and do your damn job."
"We're dead in space and if we don't get this boat moving, we are REALLY doing to be dead."
"I hope there's enough containment suits for all of us."

you get very very lost and decide to go up to clio for directions, but you didn’t expect her to suddenly decide to accompany you to make sure you got to your destination all right
clio’s colourful hair and multiple tattoos catch your attention and you start questioning her about it, except she thinks you’re trying to flirt with her and you’re cute, so hey ;)
you’re a re:gal fan and, while clio has nothing against re:gal, she does enjoy some healthy teasing of you for your obsession with the girl group
you and clio somehow end up playing poker against each other and you thought clio was going to loose because she’s been pulling all these crazy expressions all along but now she’s won big time and you owe her a shit ton of money
you are sure you met clio in tattooine but she keeps on insisting you’ve never seen each other before because, you know, new leaf and all that
last night was a bit of a blur and when you and clio wake up next to each other in bed in your underwear, some assumptions that may or may not be true are made
you look very out of place in this underground market and clio can tell so she kindly offers her services to escort you around and make sure you don’t get mugged or something
“look, i know i am technically a navigator but trust me, i know my fair share of mechanics and i can tell you there is something very wrong with your ship, you might want to get it checked out”
“wait, what do you mean this is not the allura? i tell you, you are in the wrong ship, this is the- oh wait, no, this is not the allura, my bad”
“SURPRISEEEEEeeee.... oh shoot, you are not the person i was expecting to surprise, but you are a very good looking person either way so would you like a drink?”

- first of all, she has three names: ondine kim is her birth name, clio rasine is her adoptive name and clio moor is what she goes by now (it makes sense when you read her bio lol)
- born in pirate bay, tortuga to a selchie mother and a human father who is an illegal merchant
- when she is five her parents are killed by some rivalling illegal merchants and she is kidnapped to be sold as an experiment to scientists
- the ship she is in while kidnapped has an accident and lands in tatooine with clio being the only survivor
- she is adopted by an old man who is an ex-navigator and now a mechanic and who teaches her everything she needs to be a navigator (here’s also when she changes her name from ondine kim to clio rasine)
- at 16 she gets her navigator’s certificate and, right after, her adoptive father dies - but clio believes he’s been murdered by the same people that killed her parents cause she’s paranoid like that lol
- she then decides to run away and change her surname and pretends to be a human instead of a hybrid and joins the allura
