Stein Thor & Neuron 6G2
Icon Digital provided prize packages for Broadjam’s 6-pack Songwriting Competition, www.broadjam.com/6pack at the end of the competition six winners received the accolades of their music playing peers and great prizes from Icon Digital USA.
Icon’s executive team personally listened to the entries and decided on customized prizes specific to the musical interest of each 6 pack winner. Icon’s microphones, recording tools, MIDI control keyboards, and DJ tools were individually presented to each winning musician based on their musical style and career objective.
Stein Thor was one of the winners of the 6-pack Songwriting Competition. Steingrímur Þórhallsson works as a choir director and an organist in Iceland. However, his passion is in writing music. Stein prepares sheet music for Piano and smaller works as well as Choral sheet music.
Icon Digital provided Stein with the Neuron 6G2 Keyboard Controller to help him further his career and encourage his passion for making music!
"I received my Neuron6G2 as a prize in the Broadjam 6-pack songwriting competition. Since I work almost exclusively in the box, which is mostly with sampled instruments, I have had my experience with controllers. I have to say I was surprised with how well my Neuron is working; it responds wonderfully, the MIDI is top notch and it´s not covered with useless options. It might seem a bit bulky in the beginning but it´s pretty lightweight without compromising on the build. I have taken it with me on the road and I´m very happy with how sturdy it is. It fits perfectly in my studio and has now replaced my old front side MIDI controller. Although I still need my weighted keyboard for playing I use the Neuron for orchestrating both with Logic/Cubase and writing notes in Sibelius. Everything just works perfectly!"
