The band did their first gig back in 1962 . The groups name was thought up by founding member ( Brian Jones ) . It originates from the classic Muddy Waters track ( Rolling Stone ) .
Tensions resulted in Brian Jones being asked to leave the group in 1969. Apparently his drug and alcohol abuse had been getting completely out of control. Now when Keith Richard's is moaning at you for drugs and alcohol, you know you're in trouble 😄. Unfortunately Brian Jones died a short while later, his body was found in his swimming pool in Essex.
The bands early work was a selection of covers . The first song actually written by Mick and Keith was for Marianne Faithful in 1964 ( As Tears Go By )
The first Rolling Stones track fully written by them came in - 1965 ( The Last Time ) 🤓
The band has been performing for 63 years and they're still going 😳. I'll leave you with one of their classic tracks just to give you an idea why they've been so successful. 😉
