Loki knew his father had been in talks with some magicians in Midgard. He’d been surprised to learn Midgard even had such things since he thought that those with seidr rich bloodlines had all been killed off. Aside of that Loki didn’t really think much of it. He was the youngest son as well as a runt so unless his skills in diplomacy were needed he didn’t generally sit in on such meetings although he had at first. Lately however his other duties kept him too busy.
As one of the most powerful Seidrmandrs or Magicians in the realm he was responsible for helping restore old texts and artifacts as well as create new ones and teach younger Jotuns. All that in addition to his duties as a prince.
One day his father called him in for a meeting and informed him that he would be going with him on a trip to Midgard to meet with some of the Wizards. Or rather there was one Wizard specifically that Loki was to meet. A mortal named Sirius Black. If the two got along then they would be married to seal the treaty that had been worked out.
Loki was understandably shocked but since the marriage was contingent on him and the mortal liking each other he was willing to at least meet with the man.
