Jack Harries has just reached 1 million subscribers on his YouTube channel and wants to film a sincere thank you with his girlfriend, Jazz.
"For fuck's sake, would you just sit still?"
The slightly annoyed and incredibly upset tone is audible as Jack scratches his neck. Rolling his eyes, he grabs desperately towards the back of the rolling seat next to him, attempting to pull it closer.
"I just need you in the frame," he huffs. "You don't even have to say anything."
"Well, good, because I don't want to," a voice returns. It, in contrast to the booming British one, is steady and American. "I'm all sweaty and gross from guard practice and I'm in no condition to be on camera."
"Babe," Jack lets out, condescension oozing off every word. "You look fine."
Mumbling erupts from Jazz's mouth as she attempts to roll away again, though she is stopped and pulled back quickly.
"More than fine, love," Jack sighs, realizing his mistake, "beautiful. Gorgeous. Actually, I don't think I can put you in this video because I don't want the world to be blinded by your beauty."
"Oh, shut the fuck up," Jazz insists, her eyes rolling in her skull, yet the slight blush that creeps across her face is visible, if only for a moment. "You're such an idiot."
"Your idiot!" the boy cries out enthusiastically thrusting his arms away from him and around the girl beside him. There is an overly-cheesy grin on his face and he squeezes her tightly, like a boa constrictor.
After a heavy sigh and eye roll, Jazz tries to shove him away. "Get off, loser."
"C'mon," Jack retorts, not letting go, but, rather, pulling her tighter. "You know you love me. Say it. Say it."
"I absolutely do not."
"My fish thinks you do."
"It's a fucking fish."
"And you fucking love me!"
"I do not. Now let me go. Film your stupid video and leave me alone."
"Say it first."
"Jack, I swear to God. Get off of me."
"Say it!"
Tired of the boy's shit, Jazz relax's her body, her shoulders hunching and her eyes blinking slowly. How she puts up with this boy on a daily basis is still a foreign concept to her.
"Yeah, sure, fine. I love you," the girl says, wiggling her body now, though secretly enjoying the entire exchange. She does love him. They do live together, and have been dating for years. Of course she does. Jack's just an idiot. Quickly, though, she adds "I guess."
"Oh, Jazzie!" Jack retorts over-enthusiastically. "I knew it was true! Now kiss me!"
Suddenly the boy's muscles tighten again and Jazz is being pulled towards him. Not opposed tot he idea, Jazz meets his lips halfway with a smile. After they are finished, she laughs.
"Now leave me alone and let me go shower or something. Film your stupid video and leave me alone."
