I know there are shows and movies coming to Netflix that I want to see, but for whatever reason, I am re-watching Stranger Things because I haven’t seen it since the third season came out. I’m thinking that what possessed me to do that-not the Mind Flayer (haha)- was some very strange dream with some of the characters....I thought it would make a good story....so I may be writing a fanfiction for it. I’m notorious for taking a lifetime to finish multi-chapters in any fandom. I currently have one that is almost finished, one that is on an hiatus, and two that are being debated for removal. Anyway, if you want to read a story that takes place post season 3, and focuses on the father-son of Hopper and Billy, stick around I suppose. I will probably post a link to it when it is ready, but if you’re interested, check out my other stuff under the username DenDragon14.
//When you have so much you want to write, but that just causes gridlock in your brain!
After a day of driving my mind is always buzzing with story ideas. Not with just two or three conceptual bees, oh no. We’re talking whole hive action. Workers a
Writing concurrent fics. I'm switching back and forth, thus ensuring it takes the maximum amount of time to finish both. (Pssst, Brain: What's your DEAL?)
"Idea Overload"
Sometimes it seems hard for me to come up with ideas, either for my art or my writing. But that’s not really the problem because I have notebooks and cases full of ideas for drawings, paintings and writing projects. Hell, I was just looking through one of them at a list of writing prompts because I didn’t know what to write. And yet none of those topics seemed just right… for now at least.
It’s a funny thing, getting stuck on all these ideas floating around me. It’s a kind of writer’s block when you think of it. Getting over it means just starting anywhere and hoping it leads you in the right direction. With art, it seems easier because that feeling of free-flowing creative energy is just what you need when you’re painting or drawing. But with writing, I feel like I think better and write better when I have an idea in mind. That focus and intent helps to shape what you’re creating. But then again, I am trying to write something specific here. I write these posts to share my insights and feelings of being a creative person. Sometimes struggling with ideas can be overwhelming to the point of not creating at all. What I’m trying to say is that it happens to the best of us. So when you’re stuck on an idea, just start somewhere and the focus will come.
Not sure if my brain is malfunctioning or it's just finally working fully...
Time to try and sleep again.
Hopefully my brain won't keep thinking while I try to sleep. I wish it would give me all these great ideas when I'm NOT trying to sleep. Stupid brain.
Big day tomorrow!
