Not in a mood to write it out coherently and im sure the people will want it so uhh bugshawe thoughts under the cut. Jesus this got to be more that I thought uh. This might be gore atp I think.
We all know how getting Corruptioned happens. Jonathan who starts noticing the infestation not long after the severance and at first it's just a few little bugs here and there, but the more he sees the more it drives him completely mad.
He sees movement from the corner of his eye constantly, he gets distracted during appointments and eventually stops them entirely out of fear that a patient will see the bugs too. He's always had nightmares but now they've changed. He wakes up writhing, screaming, clawing at himself trying to get rid of the swarms that crawl all over his body in those dreams, not to mention the eyes that Watch him in every nightmare, cold and uncaring and observing every torture he goes through.
He stops sleeping entirely when he actually finds one crawling up his leg in bed. He stops eating, scared they're in his food. His delusions (are they even delusions?) get worse and he feels them inside him, how did they get there? He has to get rid of them or they'll knaw their way through his insides. He has to get them out. He takes his scalpel and he doesn't even flinch as he sinks the blade into his chest and drags it downwards. The pain takes a moment to reach him but when it does, all he can do is double over on the floor.
He doesn't have long to be grateful at the lack of creepy crawlies in his abdominal cavity, because now that he's beyond fighting back they really do come for him and now they are in there, making a nice little nest out of his ribcage and chewing their way into whatever soft tissue they touch.
Maybe it's not so bad, though. Jonathan has always felt that his body was the most redeemable thing about him. Maybe it's nice to be appreciated. How could he possibly feel alone now? Who cares about those freaks and their Gods of fear and terror? Jonathan has finally found a God that wants him. He has all he could ever want right here, swarming and knawing and burrowing, making good use of him. Maybe this is what love is like. All-consuming.
