no lie though that my favourite original holmes story was the dying detective. watson was so worried that holmes was dying while holmes so desperately tried to prevent watson from examining him because he knows how good watson is at figuring out it’s a fake. like, why don’t we have more of this show of respect for john’s skills in bbc?? and you wonder why john is always so angry but less so in the original.
