MYSTERY PLANTS!!!
A coupe years ago Youngest Spawn brought some dirt in from outside to try to grow bell peppers in a windowsill pot. The started and then withered, but another plant grew - two tiny spindly sticks that got a few inches tall, put off some leaves for the summer, and denuded in the fall. The next spring the put on a few more inches, put out some more leaves. Rinse and repeat, they are now thin and spindly and stretching way out and I still have no idea what they are aside from being the leafy children that I refuse to put out to pasture.
As a gesture of something I have yet to put words, occasionally while prepping peppers for things I will drop some seeds in the pot. My delight, when something sprouted last week!
A rather lot of somethings. And now that I look at the seedcaps still clinging to some of the leaves...
...those aren’t bell pepper seeds.
