Lament from "The Sorrow of the Lady of Sorjaey"
Come and fetch me, Lady of Shadows
Let nothing here of my sorrow remain,
Just one more tear to weep for my love,
One more breath to whisper your name.
#
Carry me softly over the ocean,
Carry me over the storm battered waves
Safe in your arms to the bright distant shore
As my body is laid in its grave.
#
Into your keeping Lady of Midnight
Myra of the wayfaring roads
Keeper of travelers and singer of stars
One last breath, before I am yours.
Circling Idhua
I have walked the bounds from sea to circling sea, and seen a secret pool hidden in stone; seen the horizon ringed white with ice and ringed with blazing fire.
I have seen the stars between the branches of the trees and the sunlight in the space between their leaves.
I have seen the mountains ringing the margins of the world and the river breaking though them into an unknown sea.
I am the Traveler along unknown roads and strange singing them alive that you may walk them too.
