I'm currently a beginner at drawing, do you have any tips you can give me?

Draw everyday. Even if it’s just twenty minutes, but it’s twenty minutes of practice. Maybe draw a comics? They really help to develop art, style, anatomy etc. Try different media. I mean don’t draw only in digital or only in pencil. There’s so many things you can draw with. Like ballpoint pens, markers, watercolor, paints… Ofc if you have chance to draw in digital, do! It’s nice. Just maybe if you don’t try something, you will miss something you could adore.Use references. People who tell that references are bad are idiots. When you start and later on they will help you. Looking and drawing from references will help you to understand how anatomy or perspective works. Later you will learn how not to copy and just use it as idea of how things works.Look how draw other artists. It shouldn’t demotivate you. Ever. Opposite. It must inspire you. You see a thing they do and you want to try it. Try! Maybe you will love it. While searching for your style you can try to copy some elements from other artist that you think you like. Eventually in time you will find your way to draw, what’s more easy for you. If you think it’s too “copy” link the artist’s whose style inspired you. And I’m not talking about tracing… just elements. You like this nose, try to draw it, oh, those hair looks cool, draw them etc.Look for tutorials. They exist to help you. With time you won’t need them. But at the beginning they are your teachers. Maybe look on youtube if you prefer to see how it works from scratch.Shading. Don’t be afraid of it. Really. I was afraid of shadows for a very long time. Don’t do my mistake. Don’t attack the hardest way ofc. But they give your art more dept. Maybe post what you draw. Sounds crazy, but it pushes you to draw better. Don’t worry about mean people, unfortunately, you will meet them and you can’t avoid it… that’s why you can block. But you can just not listen to them. But listen for constructive criticisme, this can help you to improve because sometimes we are so used to our drawings that we don’t see any mistakes without someone else pointing at them.

And don’t listen to people who tells you “you need talent to draw”. Talent is cool, but talent without practice is very useless.I’m not a very experienced artist, but that’s literally how I learned almost everything I know. I really hope it helped you somehow.Don’t give up on it. If you like drawing, then you just do it! Good luck, friend!

Sooooo i kinda started an apprenticeship in a hotel yesterday, and now i can notsoproudly call myself badass-for-a-day!!! ò7ó ....according to my own standards regarding the heat. I’ve been working 4 hours straight outside in the sun with 39 degrees celsius in longsleeved mulitlayered black clothing, and i survived!!! ò 7 ó mwahahaha! ò 7 ó
