Now that I am nearing 30 I have found myself going back to activities I had done in my teens. Such as getting high and playing Skyrim.
I know why I stopped doing this, but god damn.

Yes. I will die mad.
Trying to post my art on my actual socials without feeding into mindless consumerism is a challenge I never wanted to participate in.
But here I am, BBQ sauce on my titties.
I want to be engaging and engage while being authentic... but I also just wanna lay in my cozy bed, puff puff, and play video games.
The only reason the Catholic Church™️ is still relevant is because of the a e s t h e t i c and no one can convince me otherwise.
Vampires, Goths, and Hollywood would not be what they are today without a lil but of that Catholic drip, and those are just a few examples.
You ever wanna just grab someone between your teeth and shake them around violently like a squeaky toy?
I am quite blessed to have only one grandparent and said grandparent never asking me when/if I plan on having kids.
And they are Southern™️
Maybe it is because I am viewed as a godless heathen that should never raise children? Maybe it is because they have no interest in being a great-great grandparent/help take care of yet another person's god damn kid? Or maybe despite their flawed Southern™️ philosophies they still recognize that one should have a means for providing child care and that would be near impossible for me at this time?
Who knows. But it is fucking great.
I have a genuine healthy work environment and while I could be making way more money with my skill set you'll have to pry my boss away from my cold, dead hands.
His boss? Over my dead body.
The company itself? Loyal as a dog.
Im treated like a person who has a life outside of work and we are given financial incentives. While we are commission based we operate on an honor system. Every mediocre man who has gotten hired and has the wolf of Wallstreet mentality has been (and will soon be) sacked.
Its great.
honestly I was thinking about it and--I don't imagine this is standard, you can't really work like this and get a lot done--my main metric for designing characters is simply "does it have the sauce?" and if it doesn't, revise revise revise
of course what goes behind that is a lot of study and gained knowledge over time, but my brain doesn't work with verbalized minutiae, it works in the bigger picture with all the processing happening somewhere in my subconscious
