🎄 this is the CONTENT i'm here for in december
Everything has fallen so effortlessly.
It’s like hiding in plain sight and no one will touch me.
In the grand scheme of things,
Nine months is a short wait.
“B! Are you ready?” Misa calls from the front door, gussied up in her favorite seasonal attire – short skirt, red heels, one of those cheesy clip-on Santa caps. He exits the bedroom dressed as nicely as Misa could make him; not at all festive, but just formal enough to be considered “better than usual”. She attempts to pin a matching cap to his head, which she succeeds in doing until he pulls it off in the parking lot while she isn’t looking, leaving it to the cold and rain. Misa is disappointed when she finds him hat-less in the car. So is B.
They reach the party more quickly than expected. Early, in fact, just as an employee working at the photo-shoot company was setting up a fake mistletoe above the front door.
That’s sort of clever. Not really.
The pair notices this at the same time. Misa wants B to open the door like a gentleman – B takes her instead by the shoulders, dips her down low, and kisses her neck in one solid motion. She is both displeased and inwardly satisfied and would liked to have told him a thing or two!
But I smile for her and wink so ingenuously that she bites her tongue. She should have expected that.
“Forgive me. I couldn’t help myself.”
