Dearest Scarborough Gov’t,
Fuck you.
#DefendPressFreedom
Sincerely,
RED
okay guys, I’m on mobile but the next chapter for IDWTBYF is ready... so like, once my shit ass laptop works, good luck ig
:oo is your recent chapter in ref. to hong kong?
It is in reference to a few countries, if I’m being honest? Hong Kong and the Philippines are what especially come to mind as i write these kinds of chapters and I’ve honestly been so frustrated over recent politically heated events.
To divulge a bit about myself, I am a political science major so I do want to incorporate my thoughts and all the things occurring into what I write. I’m also just really angry.
Another open letter to the Scarborough gov’t:
We’re here at an impasse, aren’t we?
Or rather you’re holding arms and we, students of active minds and hearts, remain dissident to the authoritative state that you’re affirming to impose upon us, students and general populace alike; young and old will be affected unless they belong to the tiers past the marginalized.
Upon the beginning of this regime, the Prime Minister promised a safety net for the people of this country yet he put together this promise by providing a scapegoat to the troubles of our country and lashed it out on them rather than the true root causes that have been penetrating us to begin with.
Understandably with current amendments and ratification of Scarborough law, you have proposed the Anti-Terror Law which instead of bringing about a sense of protection can cause the lines of which can bring literally anyone into jurisdiction of the soon to be legally imposed judicial death penalty.
Yes, I can digress that Terrorism is an act against humanity. However, with such a bill preventing the Scarborough citizens from actively participating in acts for humanity, where do we lie?
You see, the problem with this lies in two concepts:
We can no longer distinguish the proper hold that our rights (stated in Article 3 of the Constitution), and anyone who has a say against authoritative power can be... in grave danger. As you know.
Take notice of this, Scarborough. Our privacy is no longer simply privy to us.
We are citizens to have been cared for and protected by our state; however we are becoming pawns, no longer people of our own, and taken as collateral damage.
Speaking regardless of caution,
RED
Hi hello, hope you're doing well. Im rereading idwbyf and loving it even more than the first time. Idk if you've answered this before but does the mixtape/playlist that Red makes for Bonnie actually exist somewhere that I could access it? Or was it never created like that and just written about if thats an understandable way of putting it? I've also thought that the songs mentioned in the notes could be said mixtape but idk, seemed like a looot of songs for a mixtape? Not that I'm a mixtape pro.
Hi! The mixtape was actually made and posted the time the chapter was posted. :> It's actually a 7-track mix but I'm not an expert on mixtapes myself. ;>
This is the mix if you're looking to listen to it! I guess it isn't much clear but the songs on every note before the chapter starts is more like a theme for how the chapters go! (As with my writing process, I have a separate playlist for a bunch of songs I plan to add to IDWTBYF)
why is your fic getting so political?
In times like this, we cannot afford to be anything but.
Am upset bc I wanna update my fic BUT TUMBLR IS DYING SCREEEEE
