and who knew they’d make it this far? through trials and tribulations, brought through fire and flames to reach a destination junho never thought he’d see light of day once in his life. had always assumed he’d be alone for the majority of it, without unspoken bindings of commitment and all that came with it. without the constant company of one person; thought only to seek an end to loneliness through a multitude of people. and yet, it had been a year, already. time itself having seemed to fly by, though not without its means to make sure the two knew they weren’t invincible. could never be, even more so since they’d found each other, sunk into each other like a ship meets its ends in the arms of a body it once floated upon.
yet, he was thankful. for moments and complications that brought the two here. wrapped in their own cocoon, while the sun made itself known through cracks in material made to block out light. the faint warmth of it fleeting against exposed skin. junho had been awake for a short while already, doe eyes having refused to flee from the figure sleeping next to him. and perhaps he’d feel like too much of a monster, if he were to shift out of bed. careless in a possible escape, enough to jolt his significant other awake under change. instead waited, until he could no longer wait any longer.
gentle lips pressed against skin, as the younger leaned over to exact his own form of physical alarm. littered flesh in chaste pecks, some lingering on spots he knew would be sensitive enough to stir from slumber.
“baby?” a mere whisper into unshattered silence, tips of fingers joining his mouth’s assault in simply touching, skimming over jaesun’s arm. “i love you, so much,” and he did. truly. even more so than he thought to be possible. more so than he did when they began, when they’d gotten together. more than every moment shared between the two. the demon cuddled up to the other, chest pressed to back, eager arms intent on wrapped around frame almost insistently, yet loose enough to provide a warming comfort. “happy anniversary~”
