Storyboarding is kinda fun. Here’s the rest!
Oh yeah, hey, I drew something! Two somethings! And one of them was a man~
But like, what are man bodies and why are they so hard for me to draw?!
So, I kinda forgot Tumblr existed for a while (it’s been a rough two semesters, but graduating in May, so.... woooo).
I am so done with gradschool that I only want to draw and write stories instead of you know... my master’s paper.
The good news is that I have finally been able to draw characters that have been sitting in my brainspace for the last 10 years. Even better, I am finally making motions to tell Ieshe’s story.
I was drawing character art for 3 of the major characters and experimenting with clothing options and facial markings.
For anyone who wants to know, the main character Ieshe (and her sexy, sexy partner Muuja) is part of a nomadic, nonhuman race. The other woman is part of an unknown, ancient, nonhuman race. There’s spirituality and death and adventure.
The characters are realistically flawed or broken, make mistakes, and yet still go on to do great things. I also wanted a cast of female characters that run the gambit of personalities and motivations, none of whom solely focus on romance. (Alright, alright, Muuja’s a dude, but 1/5 is not bad.)
This story might be a disaster and more ambitious than I can realistically deliver, but I want to try my best to tell a story a bit different than what we’re used to.
