i'm sorry if this sounds rude, it's not my intention. but don't you always support the careers of harry and louis who are multi millionares and all the fan projects to "maximize their streams"? but you reblogged a post that's against that...
you can support the careers of bigger artists while still advocating for smaller artists/diy artists lmao. it doesn’t have to be one or the other. i took that post to mean putting too much time and too much money into full on fan campaigns for multi-millionaires where youre shelling out $$ and streams just to put them on the charts when they don’t need it. also, there’s a difference between “maximizing streams” for someone like dua lipa or BTS and wanting to leverage an artist like louis tomlinson that many feel like is being sabotaged/not given the same potential in his work by the record label. it isn’t black & white. and it also doesn’t detract from wanting that kinda cap-size attention to be driven for artists who will never be mainstream and have a much smaller platform.
