conditionals
if the tip of my nose is pressed to the window and it fogs, it might be cold out.
if it is cold out and I am looking through the window, it might be snowing.
if it is snowing and I feel lonely, I might question what is real.
if I am questioning what is real, and my fingers are cold though I am not out in the snow, I might wonder whether the snow is really torn-up paper.
if the snow is really torn-up paper, and I do not think I’m real (though my fingers are cold indeed), the floor may be made of cardboard.
if the floor is made of cardboard, and I am trembling from my own pseudo-cold, I might have reason to fear.
if there is reason to fear, and it is not cold inside but I still feel the frost on my fingertips, maybe nothing is real.
maybe it’s all cardboard and torn-paper snow and constructions of my fears.
