Nowadays, Everyone is a damn politician. We all have a mouthful to say on social media, but I'm assuming at least 60% of the commentators haven't even voted for anyone in Congress or the White House ” city and town official is basically a none existing thing to most. How do we expect to move forward, if all our energy is being put into things and statuses, that will probably be forgotten in a matter of days? I get it your trying to raise awareness, but how much more aware do we need to be? I too use to sit there and complain about our government. But after much needed self-reflection I have come into terms, that shit will never change if I don't start doing something for the bigger cause. I'm going to strive to be more active in my community. I'm going to push to get through college and become the most powerful Marisel, I always longed to be. I need to reach for not the stars, but a whole different dimensions. My dream’s are slowly turning into reality. I am embracing every moment of it both good and bad.
