Father’s Day

Ignis hadn’t taken the time to morn for years, but as the sun warmed his back he stood facing the ocean, looking out passed Galdin Quay, and remembering the sound of his father’s voice. He had a photo in his wallet of both of his parents, kept it there even now, though he could no longer see it.

He wouldn’t have thought of it at all if Iris hadn’t suggested everyone take flowers to their father’s graves today. So, here he was, placing a small bouquet into the sea where his father had died. “Happy Father’s Day.”
