Board games and drinks! Reminisce about MAGFest; prepare for world domination the Global Game Jam later this month.
Apologies for the short notice, but given the calendar's saturation with MAGFest and GGJ, let's do a quick drinkup this month at The Board Room DC!
We've managed to rent out the top floor for Tuesday, so we should have enough space to demo on laptops as usual. We'll also continue to organize for GGJ and enjoy the Board Room's copious supply of games and beers.

IGDA DC is organizing a trip to Unpub 4, a game playtesting and promotion event that's a two-hour car ride away in Delaware. Carpool with them here.
Today: IGDA DC Meeting With Mark Jacobs on CSE, March of Oz
As always, IGDA DC meetings are free, and you do not need to be an official IGDA member to attend.
You can read more on City State Entertainment's first game, March on Oz, here.
[TODAY: January 15] 6:30 p.m., Westwood College (Arlington/Ballston) IGDA DC January Meeting: Mark Jacobs on CSE and March on Oz
Our monthly meeting date has been set this time for Tuesday, Jan 15, in keeping with our regular schedule of holding meetings on the (2nd or 3rd) (Tuesday or Wednesday) of the month. The plan is to meet once again at Westwood College for a panel with Mark Jacobs, founder of City State Entertainment. CSE recently released their debut title, March on Oz (http://citystateentertainment.com/marchonoz/), for iPad, and Mark will be discussing both the studio's founding and the game's development. Afterwards, join us for a drinking session with our usual group of developers, artists and friends. This month's meeting also represents a good opportunity to organize for Global Game Jam, if you haven't yet decided on your location (hint:http://globalgamejam.org/sites/2013/george-mason-jam-g4c), need help with transportation to the site, or have any questions for our many veterans about the jam experience.
