He didn’t really know why they were here -- maybe it was a drunken promise or they had planned it and he had just lost his memory suddenly, but Hoseok was completely rigid as he sat inside the tattoo parlor, staring at his friend. Tattoos to Hoseok used to mean rebellion and youth, they were things his friends had gotten when their mothers had been too harsh about how many girls they were bringing around and they wanted to silently retaliate (Hoseok was not one of those troublemakers -- he was, and always had been, a one lady kind of guy.) Tattoos now were similar, but instead of retaliation to his friends’ mothers it was to their managers, his idol friends getting called out by netizens when they got ‘inappropriate’ words inked into their skin. They’d say that any publicity was good publicity, but Hoseok would frown whenever he’d see those tattoos covered up for music shows.
Tattoos made Hoseok think of the stupid smiley face made of ink and Jiyong’s bellybutton, of the pizzaball on Jiyong’s chest, and of the rumored tattoo that apparently Jiyong had gotten on a place he wasn’t sure he wanted to see, no matter how cool the tattoo could be.
“Are we gonna get something matching?” He spoke softly, unusually calm as his eyes were moving back and forth from Jiyong next to him, to the tattoo artist’s sharp, sharp needle. He wasn’t nervous, no way. “I mean, why else would we come together? Maybe we could get matching trampstamps--” He pictured it, them both tugging down the back of their jeans ever so slightly to reveal some stupid flower or something else equally embarrassing and quickly shook his head, waving his hands around to completely banish the thought. “Forget I said that. My manager is going to kill me if he finds out where I am, and I’m going to blame you.”

“I’ve actually thought about this before, believe it or not,” he hummed softly, leaning back against the couch with a sigh. Maybe it was the alcohol talking (they had drank a lot of alcohol already, and he wasn’t planning on stopping any time soon) or it was the fact that Hoseok felt incredibly comfortable with the older male, he couldn’t help but tell his friend what was on his mind. “You don’t think I would’ve, right? Since I’m hope, and all.” His hand, raised up in the air as he slurred through his point, swayed from side to side. His lips pursed slightly as he tried to still his hand, but to no avail. “Ah-- but no,” he mumbled, turning his head to Jiyong, who was seated next to him on the couch, “I don’t think I’d tell.”
