A lot of lawyers talk about “fighting.” Joseph Horowitz fights where it matters: the evidence, the procedure, and the PennDOT fallout that can wreck your livelihood 💥⚖️. If you’re dealing with a DUI in Pittsburg, Carnegie, or Washington, PA, don’t let the system decide you’re guilty by default and broke by policy.
The Commonwealth counts on you waiting, panicking, and taking the first deal shoved across the table ⏱️😤. That’s how people end up with avoidable suspensions, interlock headaches, and a record that follows them for years. Joseph Horowitz steps in early, locks down evidence, and forces the state to prove it — not just claim it — across Pittsburg, Carnegie, and Washington, PA.
Pittsburgh runs on commuters—and PennDOT penalties are designed to break them 🛑🚗. One arrest can trigger a criminal case AND administrative punishment that hits before your court date even matters. Joseph Horowitz builds DUI defense with real life in mind: the shift schedule, the commute, the livelihood, and the clock.
Can I Still Drive After a DUI in WA? Yes—Here’s How
After a DUI in Washington, it feels like everything is taken from you—including your right to drive.
But here’s a secret many don’t know:
🚗 You can still drive—with an Ignition Interlock License (IIL).
The IIL lets you legally drive during your suspension, as long as you install an ignition interlock device. That’s the one that tests your breath before you can start your car.
To get an IIL, you need to:
Show proof of SR-22 insurance (yep, that high-risk coverage).
Get an interlock device installed (SmartStart is a great vendor).
Submit your IIL application to the DOL by certified mail.
Pay the $375 fee.
It’s not ideal. But it’s freedom. It’s work. It’s school. It’s life.
Most people don’t even realize this option exists.

Ontario’s #impaired driving laws are especially extensive. According to Ontario’s Criminal Code, not only is driving while #impaired illegal, but anyone having “#care_and_control” of a vehicle while intoxicated may lose their license. “Care and control” can mean napping in the driver’s seat while you try to #sober up after a night of #drinking. Vehicles covered under the Highway Traffic Act include but are not exclusively limited to boats, aircraft and automobiles. If an officer suspects you have been drinking while or shortly before getting behind the wheel, they may stop you and ask you to breath into a portal device called a breathalyzer to measure your BAC. To be charged with #impaireddriving, you must show visible signs of impairment or register a BAC of more than 0.08 – either is sufficient for a conviction. #DUI , #DWI and #Impaireddriving charge. #IgnitionInterlock or #Breathalyzer in your car.
