Just made a community post on my YouTube commemorating the 10 year anniversary of THE Jon Arbuckle AMV... figured I'd share this on tumblr too because it wouldn't have got nearly this much attention if it wasn't for this site.

Also tagging @secondbeatsongs in this because they were the one who made it explode in popularity all over again a few years ago. To this day, I appreciate the effort to reach out to me personally and give me proper credit in their post. 🫶

Also tagging @ihatejonarbuckle for being the reason the video took off in the first place, almost a decade ago. Not sure if they're still active but just know the hate campaign and awareness to Jon's evil actions is still going strong.

I highkey believe @ihatejonarbuckle is ableist and borderline psychotic with the claims they somehow manage to pull some of the most heinous, disgusting claims from such innocent strips.

like no ihatejonarbuckle, Jon Arbuckle doesn't want to fuck his cat just because he was hugging him too tightly whilst watching a romantic movie. I don't go out of my way to claim you're a plushophile for hugging a stuffed animal whilst watching a movie.

and also why do you need him to be dead, he's literally just an undiagnosed autistic guy battling depression.

This was tough at first, since I was initially thinking it would be the most generally morally-upright character, but I think I’d actually say that it’s Ayet, who isn’t exactly perfect, but who is probably the biggest animal lover.

the difference between @ihatejonarbuckle and @fuck-scrappydoo, two very similar blogs in concept, is that ihatejonarbucle is tracking a dangerous and powerful cryptid from a distance (and raising awareness of him in the public eye) whereas fuck-scrappydoo is straight-up being tormented and hunted by the subject of their hatred. the fuck-scrappydoo posts are INCREDIBLY personal and emotional, and the ihatejonarbuckle posts are from an outsider studying jon arbuckle.

kudos to them both for being so brave! ihatejonarbuckle is playing with fire, but fuck-scrappydoo is already on the run. i can only hope the both of them aren’t caught.
